That really wouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't for the fact that she always stumbles on her words. She can't adequately describe images, so you're stuck with some half assed understanding of Asian art. Her exams are really straight forward and come directly from the lecture and NEVER from the book. You need to memorize images and their significance and write a comparison essay. That said, you must go to lecture and discussion to get an A. The TAs do all the grading/real teaching, so that makes the class not as bad as it could have been. There are 2 exams and a paper, as well as participation and quiz grades. Overall it's an easy class, but but take it with Suzuki if you can. |
