Reviews for Ronald L. Lipsman
Average Rating:| Anonymous Course: MATH246 Grade Expected: A December 9, 2011, 4:27 pm | Not a very good professor. Would stand at the board and write proofs and derivations that didn't serve to do much other than confuse students who didn't know what they were doing. He is also arrogant and will spout off accomplishments and his knowledge of material. Not surprisingly, his required textbook had his name as one of the authors. My TA taught me the class much better than Lipsman did, and he also was the easiest grader, which certainly helped. If I were to take the class again, I would only go to discussions and the lectures that we had quizzes/tests. MATLAB lectures are also useless. The class was relatively easy, in that the material and problems are in the book. If you study before the tests you will do fine. |

Because it was written by Levermore and Lipsman students aren't prepped for Levermore exams. Lipsman exams weren't totally difficult if you could manage book problems. Homeworks from textbook optional, but you need to do Matlab He even advertises his son's business on his website. Need some real estate?? Talk to his son!! |
| xenon Course: MATH246 Grade Expected: D April 26, 2011, 3:23 am | worst professor ever. Not only does his lectures suck, but his grading policy and course load is way beyond the other professors'... This is the only professor that includes matlab in the exams... DONT TAKE HIM! |
| atloud Course: MATH246 Grade Expected: B December 18, 2010, 9:26 pm | Lipsman was an ok teacher, but the matlabs were very time consuming and the quizzes and tests weren't easy. MATLAB lectures are completely useless and boring, don't go to them. |
| koajp23c Course: MATH246 Grade Expected: A December 11, 2010, 4:45 pm | Good Professor, teaches very well. But intensive matlab homework compared to other professors. Exams are fair and straightforward(like any 246 ..) |
