Average Rating:| Anonymous Course: ENGL403 Grade Expected: November 10, 2009, 11:01 pm | I really enjoyed Kim Coles. Not only is she very intelligible, she has that ability to make even the most boring things interesting. I had her for Shakespeare's earlier plays which are more of the historical ones. I hate Shakespeare but she made it easy to understand and definitely was not one of those profs that worship him (if she was, she didn't let her bias show). She's also really understanding, but don't take advantage of it. |
| Anonymous Course: ENGL301 Grade Expected: January 9, 2008, 10:40 am | Professor Coles is the best professor I've had so far at Maryland. She is enthusiastic, highly knowledgeable, funny, and engaging. This was my favorite class of the semester. I would definitely take another class with her and strongly recommend taking 301 with her, if possible. |

Down to earth, but also a very learned person who encourages open discussion and never chastises someone with an opinion different from her own. If she could make 301 as interesting as she did (by conveying the true political power behind every published work), I can only imagine how cool other classes under her wing are! |
