Average Rating:| Anonymous Course: HONR278Y Grade Expected: A March 26, 2008, 8:33 pm | great class! she is a very open minded and understanding professor, always willing to talk and help you. no tests, just papers and poetry which is graded easily. i never missed a class because it was so interesting - definitely take it if you like writing. |
| kbe12478 Course: HONR279V Grade Expected: December 20, 2007, 4:45 pm | Ideas of God in Literature and Scripture was a very interesting topic for a class, and Professor Staudt had a good handle on most of the works we covered. I felt like I learned a lot. However, the class was sometimes very boring, and also, there was a lot of work involved, including three 5-6 page papers, weekly journals on the different works, and a final exam that was basically writing an essay for two whole hours. Staudt herself was a nice person, but sometimes appeared to lose touch with reality. |
| Anonymous Course: HONR267 Grade Expected: A- November 1, 2007, 2:35 pm | This course is split up into multiple parts, each part being a different area of study or "discipline." When I took the course, we looked at creativity in dance, Gandhi, string theory of physics, Shakespeare, and antibiotic resistance. Each segment lasts about 2 weeks, and each time a professor from that area of study comes to teach us. Staudt doesn't actually do any of the teaching, and half the time she is learning too so she can't teach it anyway. It is all discussing what you learned and writing little papers on it. It is easy as long as you keep up with the large amount of tedious no-brainer work. I said an expected grade would be an A- because it is easy enough to get the A, but laziness will undoubtedly account for the minus. |
