If you're looking for a more basic overview and theories type course this isn't for you. 1 midterm, 1 final and 4 HWs. Work load is not burdensome, but study hard for the midterm and final and you'll be fine. |
| Anonymous Course: BMGT343 Grade Expected: May 16, 2011, 5:28 pm | I thought he was going to be awful (I was looking forward to the subject though). I was wrong. If you like math and details behind basic finance take him for 343. He is very intelligent, and cares about student concerns. I'm not the type to go into office hours or write e-mails, but the few times I did speak candidly with him he really cared what I was saying and listened. He lacks real world experience in finance, but has a theoretical knowledge that can help a student learn another side (we get the real world experience plenty from everyone else) |
| Anonymous Course: BMGT343 Grade Expected: C December 20, 2009, 10:13 am | AWFUL!!!! he is a smart man and knows his stuff but he is a terrible teacher. He just reads off the slides and thinks students can learn from it. He expects students to have a solid knowledge of what he's teaching rather than starting from the ground up. Lecture is sooo boring but you have to attend because sometimes he takes certain parts of the powerpoints off so you have to go to class to fill in the blanks. There are only 2 exams, each covering about 10 chapters. They're incredibly difficult. He grades SAT style, meaning you get points off for getting the question wrong. The homework was very difficult and took hours to complete. Avoid him at all costs. It's not worth suffering for a semester. |

Hes accent is thick so its hard to understand him, all he does is read off the slides so its really boring. If you think you can use the slides to study, think again because students started missing his class cause hes so awful and he started taking the solutions off the examples provided in the slides. I swear to you, if you ever take a class with this man you will be so miserable. |
