He's a cool dude and he keeps the lectures full of information and entertaining. Most of the stuff was common sense--a person that has never been to a lecture could take the test and probably get a C. The means & medians were really high (upper B's for pretty much everything) for all of the exams and executive summaries, so it's a fairly easy class.

A great class for critical thinking. Schmitty was great at engaging the class in discussion. The class was pretty straightforward. I felt that there was not a lot of material presented; however, I think the focus of the course is geared more towards preparing students for future business situations. In this way, the professor challenges the students to think critically, but he is accepting of everyone's opinion.

3 exams (multiple choice and essay) and 4 executive summaries (1-2 page papers)

Also fyi, he says "exactly" and "absolutely" a lot when students respond; it makes for a fun game in class.

Schmidt is great. The lectures are really good, and he likes to use a lot of video clips to help get his points across, especially from the Office and Office Space. He is very fair grading as well. The workload is not too bad either--3 exams (each worth 20 percent of the final grade and not terribly hard) and 4 executive summaries (each worth 10 percent of the final grade). Awesome guy; I'd definitely recommend him!
