Reviews for Arthur Piszczatowski
Average Rating:| Anonymous Course: SOCY100 Grade Expected: A May 1, 2012, 10:13 am | I took this class last semester and it was an easy A. Classes were boring, but he takes attendance and deducts from your grade if you're not there. Exams are easy. There are two and the midterm is online. He gives you study guides with page numbers and direct content that will be on the exam. Take him if you need a GPA booster. He's also very nice--often times too nice. This is a VERY accurate review. Take him. |
| Anonymous Course: SOCY100 Grade Expected: A December 15, 2011, 11:38 am | I'm not sure if I am not a Sociology person, but I had a hard time with a lot of the information presented (not that it was hard-I didn't agree with it). He posts pie charts with over 100%, talks about 2-3%5 differences like its a big deal, and some of his other facts are just off. He has a hard time keeping his personal political beliefs out of teaching, as many in class discussions and the group project have loaded questions. The syllabus says the class schedule is subject to change at anytime (I wasn't sure you could do that.) But the assignments are really easy. There is a 6-8 page paper which you have about a month to finish and is about half opinion anyway. Make sure you're in class that day because he will assign it and never mention it again. He gave an "interview a family member" project over Thanksgiving break, which I wasn't too happy about, but was very easy to do. The midterm is easy and he gives out a study guide two days before-don't do the readings. The group project at the end of the year is not hard at all. Our final was online, but he didn't bother to tell us this until the last day of class. Overall, he's a nice guy, his class is easy, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't live in reality. Don't bother asking him about what you miss in class-he leaves stuff out and tells you you should have asked a classmate. |
