Average Rating:| Anonymous Course: ECON300 Grade Expected: May 18, 2009, 8:23 pm | Was not a very tough class. Teaches off of powerpoint slides basically. Homework is assigned about every other week. Tests were medium difficulty overall, some questions on the test varied in difficulty. Curved the tests as well. Final was harder than I expected. Textbook is very hard to understand making homework a little more difficult than necessary. Just make sure you understand the problem sets assigned and copy down the solutions he provides in class and you should be good. Provides sample exams that are VERY similar to the real exam. |
| Anonymous Course: ECON300 Grade Expected: May 20, 2008, 9:29 am | First year teaching as a graduate student. His slides dont help much, but it seems to be getting better towards the end of class. He actually makes A LOT of mistakes in class (and this is basically a calculus class). The average of this class tends to be very high compared to other ECON300 large lecture so be careful taking this one. The first two exams are difficult, but final seems less as difficult (maybe he realized how difficult it was). You should really know calculus and econ for the average to be in your favor. There are biweekly hw problems, and most of it are tough because the text is useless. Get extra help to pass this clas if youre not real good at math. |
