Miller hosted a welcoming cozy environment classroom that proved to be very interesting. If you can stand the battleship gray curtains and the seeping onion bagel smell then I recommend this class for you! Take his quizzes and tests seriously they will make or break your grade. Good luck on the extra credit!

Greatest professor at UMD. This was the only class I ALWAYS looked forward to going to. If you took macro in high school you know a great deal of the material already. Otherwise all of the test questions come from the powerpoints he puts on elms. Study those. Some questions are tricky, but fair. Enjoy this class.

Great guy. Every class is virtually the same: first 30 minutes news stories (basically a discussion) then he goes over material. He's very funny and easily approachable. Very knowledgeable about the subject as well although he gets really ticked off if he catches you texting or having side conversations in class.

Tests are all multiple choice and straight from his slides although there are always a few curveball/obscure questions.

DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK. everything comes straight from slides. The Glo-Bus assignment was a bit of a bummer since we had to pay around $40 for it but using it was not so bad. overall a fun class.

Professor Miller is an amazing professor! His supply chain mgmt class was the best class of the semester. I loved going to class--he taught for like 30 mins and spent the 1st half of the class going over current interesting news articles-he is seriously hilarious! and you wont feel like skipping a single class. His class isn't much work. The only thing we needed to worry about working on is studying for the exams which were like super straight forward, provided that you memorized all the acronyms& terms and whatever he has in his slides-and I mean literally memorize it! All his exam questions are from his slides although he is going to say the ebook is required and the book is fair game for the exam--you really don't need the book so don't spend money trying to buy it. There will also be a pop quiz during the semester although he will have 2 assigned in his syllabus--it's only worth 2.5% of the grade though--and there will be extra credit but you get like 0.5% credit for writing a 1 page paper about your experience at IKEA or at a self check out and stuff like that.. BMGT 372 was the best class I took last semester and I can only say that caz of Prof Miller. If you need to take bmgt 372 take it with Jeff Miller!

Professor Miller is an amazing professor. He was very enthusiastic about the subject he was teaching and did a very good job at making sure that the class participated and understood the material.

There wasn't too much workload in this class but the exams were tricky.

Professor Miller is an awesome teacher. He is hilarious when doing current events but also teaches the material very well. Some tricky multiple choice questions but a quick review of your notes should be enough if you go to class. Favorite class this semester.

Miller is one of the best professors I ever had. His lectures were downright outstanding. Every day he would start with going over current events for about 15 minutes, which was always entertaining. Also, there were various quiz questions throughout the lectures where if you answered correctly with your clicker, you would get .05% extra credit.

There were 2 quizzes and 3 exams. They were not too hard, but they were pretty tricky. There are also various extra credit opportunities such as a museum scavenger hunt and a short paper. Also, there is a required simulation that runs throughout the semester where the top 3 teams get extra credit.

He is an amazing professor He really cares a lot about his students and wants them to do well. He keeps students engaged in class, so you actually learn the material and like it. He presents news stories before the start of class, and they are very informative and funny. He really tries to tie what you are learning in class with current events occurring around the world. His powerpoints are really good (probably the best I have ever seen) and he puts them up on blackboard so you can study from them for quizzes and exams. There are also many trivia questions given during class which you answer with your clicker (for every question you answer correctly you get 0.05% extra credit). The quizzes and exams are all multiple choice an extremely easy (as long as you review notes from the book and his powerpoints). He does give opportunities for extra credit (you can raise you grade up to 2.5%) so take advantage of them. You also do a business simulation, which is pretty fun and allows you to apply the concepts you learned in class to a real world situation (and the top three winning teams get extra credit!)

Great class, not a lecture you'll feel like skipping. Miller really knows his stuff and makes good use of his class time, making what could be dull information more interesting.

He goes through news stories for the beginning of of the class (usually the first 1/2 hour) and makes jokes all the time.

Study the lecture slides and know the terms from the class. He creates exams that really test whether you remember the info from his slides and lecture, don't plan on studying for just a few minutes before the exam...spend time on the exams, there's really not that much else you need to work on in the class.

Group project isn't demanding, but don't forget to DO IT! It's a weekly submission that could be easy to overlook.

He is an amazing teacher! you can do trivia questions if u go to lecture, quiz/exam are taken with a clicker (only mc), you get to go on a treasure hunt and get 2.5% extra credit. The class is just fun because he keeps you current and updated with weird/funny news before class really starts. He is willing to help. One word, amazing!

I really enjoy Professor Miller's class. He does news stories in the front of the class for the first 15-20 minutes, and is basically a comedian during this time. He really keeps the students entertained during the entire time. His tests are from the lecture slides. If you miss a few on the test your grade will drop significantly. Glo-Bus simulation is very fun and can be quite competitive. Overall, one of my favorites!

Professor Miller's class is interesting and entertaining. I hardly needed motivation to attend every class. He begins with funny news stories and takes the class through lecture which he tries to make entertaining. Assignments are easy and he really tries to emphasize fun, group projects. The only negative part is his tests which are not only arbitrary, but do not test students on what they know, but rather how well they remember. Instead of applying logistics concepts, he wants to make sure you can remember certain acronyms. I'd recommend the class still, however, the poor tests are unfortunate.

great class, definitely recommend this professor

keeps class entertaining, has real world experience so he keeps the class up to date

tests are exactly from his lecture slides
there is one one-page paper which is really easy and everyone gets full credit as long as you turn it in.

basically as long as you show up to every class and turn in everything you'll be fine. showing up to class isn't a big deal because he makes it entertaining

Mr. Miller is an extremely funny man, and the news stories he goes through at the beginning of class make the class enjoyable. The class is, however, challenging and you will need to do some serious studying to pull off an A(which I didn't do). I recommend this class if you don't care about not getting an A and just need an elective

well, i took this class freshman year and totally bombed it. i thought it was because everything is multiple choice and very tricky, but i now that i am taking it again as a JUNIOR, i realize that it was probably my fault (but also the technology has improved and made it easier). you really need to study for the exams and quizzes because that is your only opportunity to succeed (no homework). he is a good professor and i strongly suggest printing out the slides and bringing them to class. when he talks and reads the slides you can tell what parts are important, and if you underline them while you are going over them, studying will be a breeze b/c you will know which material to skip over. take this class, but make sure you pay attention or you'll end up repeating it like me. at least i'm getting an A this time!

Professor Miller is enthusiastic and made the lectures somewhat entertaining. He has all his notes online and that is what the tests and quizzes are based on. Make sure you study the material because a few wrong questions on a test or quiz could bring your grade down.

Hilarious professor, can be inappropriate at times, just have a sense of humor. He does not answered emails, just talk to him after class. Lectures are mandatory, answering daily questions with clickers and exams with clickers too. Don't need textbook, everything is in ppt slides. Multiple choices exams (3 including finals), 2 quizzes, extra credit assignments are not worth doing. Enjoyable class.

Professor Miller was a funny and engaging guy, and he kept an otherwise boring class somewhat interesting. Basically, the entire course was about learning definitions of business terms. Kinda boring. Also, so of Miller's jokes incorporated some of the students. While funny, they could have been construed as inappropriate at times.

There were three tests, 2 quizzes, and bonus points during every lecture. Everything was multiple choice, but Miller threw a lot of curveballs, and graded harshly. Overall, a great guy and an OK class.
