Average Rating:| Anonymous Course: ENGL245 Grade Expected: April 9, 2012, 7:43 am | Professor Knollmueller is a good teacher. I took her film class and I really appreciated the films we watched and the discussions we had on them. You only have to do a pretty easy group project and 3 (3 page) papers on whichever films you want that can be done and handed in anytime throughout the class (so as to not conflict with other classes). Her lecture would get a bit academic in a way that was over my head sometimes and her final was way too specific but she curved it. Overall I felt that I learned a lot about film in the class. |
| Anonymous Course: CMLT280 Grade Expected: March 6, 2012, 10:34 am | After reading the previous review, I didn't think much of it and took the class anyway despite the fair warning. Marit is literally the worst professor I have ever had. The standards she hold you up to are completely ridiculous for the nature of this CORE class. I do realize that she has her doctorates degree in film, but she expects all of her students to go down the same path. Her quizzes are impossible containing the littlest details that she might have mentioned in class. Furthermore, she rants on about how high school never teaches us any history so in that vain she will try and incorporate a full history class within the already nit picky film class. She is unresponsive to student concerns and will continue to plow forward while the rest of the class sits there with their face in their hands. Please take this second warning and do not take this class. Marit Knollmueller should not be teaching. |
| Anonymous Course: CMLT280 Grade Expected: November 21, 2011, 10:58 am | This is the worst CORE class I have ever taken in my life. This was supposed to be a nice CORE class as I have heard from other students who had taken other professors. But not with Knollmueller. This incompetent lady who wasted her life getting a PhD in film study (as she once bragged to the class) made this class absolute agony. If you want to take this class do not take it with her. Whenever she assigned an essay her prompts were vague. If you ask her a question she never gives a straight answer,she beats around the bush. She talks for the sake of hearing her own voice. She laughs at her own idiotic jokes while the class is silent. Her laugh is annoying. She gives 3 impossible quizzes that she claims will show up word for word on the final but I doubt it. Most of the movies were boring apart from a few. If there was a 0 star rating she deserves a -10. I hope she reads this, just so she can get a reality check of how terrible of a "professor" she actually is. I use the term professor loosely because she is anything but one. I can't wait to fill out the University survey for course evaluations. |
