Reviews for Jeannette L. Johnson
Average Rating:| sukhenkoy1990 Course: BMGT326 Grade Expected: A+ December 15, 2011, 7:30 pm | This review is for Jodell Johnson. Professor Johnson is very friendly and understanding of her students. She teaches the material through some PowerPoints and examples on the chalkboard, but the material itself is inherently boring. She often lets the night class out early, and she makes an effort to have her students receive good grades. If you study what she outlines for her exams, you will easily get an A. |
| Anonymous Course: BMGT326 Grade Expected: A December 13, 2011, 4:34 pm | This review is for Jodell Johnson for BMGT326. This class was one of the easiest classes I have taken at Maryland. The only reason I went to class was because she takes attendance. The lectures were pretty boring, but that wasn't only Johnson's fault. The material itself was dry. The class consisted of 4 tests (including a final) - one of which could be dropped - and a final project . Essentially if you were happy with your first 3 exams, then you don't have to take the final. The final project is pretty simple too. All you have to do is create a company and make some charts for it. Most of the charts are in the book, but for the ones that aren't, if you email her she will give you the answers on a silver platter. Overall, Johnson is a decent professor and this class is extremely easy. |
| Anonymous Course: BMGT326 Grade Expected: November 15, 2011, 4:20 pm | This is for Jodell Johnson, BMGT326. Professor Johnson is very sweet. The material is straightforward. Basically, she tells you whats on the test and if you memorize it, you will get an A. She often lets her night class out early. The class is boring but you have to go bc attendance counts. Show some respect and pay a little attention.. it'll cut your study time and it isn't her fault the material is dry |
| Anonymous Course: BMGT326 Grade Expected: A May 4, 2011, 8:08 am | This review is for Jodell Johnson, the actual professor for 326, not Jeannette. There is a mistake on ourumd. Johnson is super nice but she does not know the course material. She has some experience in the field, but I'm sure she doesn't have her PhD. If you ask her a question she will have to search for the answer in the text book. The class is super boring and no one pays attention, but you have to be there bc part of your grade is attendance. This class is almost no work and an easy A, but don't take it if you actually want to learn stuff. |
| sillyputty184 Course: PSYC100H Grade Expected: A April 19, 2010, 2:18 pm | easy easy easy. also pretty interesting. nice and very understanding. hippie professor, happiness and optimism are her jam. works at NIH. Great SB. prob not good for majors that plan to continue taking psyc classes though. |
| skamal Course: PSYC100H Grade Expected: A May 16, 2009, 7:16 pm | Dr. Johnson is... interesting. You can tell that she became a psychologist because she wanted to make everyone in the world happy. She's a bit of a hippy, and sort of scatterbrained, and feels sort of like the kind of person who is so well-versed in her area that she doesn't know how to explain a lot of the simpler, entry-level stuff well. That said, her class is relatively interesting and really easy. Almost every other week you get a "lab" instead of going to class one day, which is basically a take-home assignment that involves watching some videos and giving commentary. It's easy points, and she grades them very leniently. Lectures are interesting, and hard to fall asleep in. Quizzes and exams are extremely easy. If you're just looking for a good SB, I'd go ahead and take this because you're almost guaranteed to do well and you'll get a bit out of it, too. Not recommended for majors, though, or anyone who plans to continue through with PSYC. |
