Reviews for William Richard Jeffery
Average Rating:| TerpGuide Course: BSCI207 Grade Expected: B June 8, 2010, 2:30 pm | Jeffery is pretty straight-foward. His teaching style is very like high school; it is all powerpoint and reading off it. He is pretty monotone, but is interested in the subject. The class covers much of what AP Bio did in high school but a little more in depth. The thing is, the exams are pretty specific. Examples that he goes through in class shows up on the exam. I put little effort and got a B. I personally don't think 207 should be pre-req/requirement for the bio major. But if you have a choice, Jeffery is a good choice considering the other professors. |

He really knows his stuff! I agree with the person that said to record lectures. I think it would help if you're like me and let your mind wander during lecture. His exams are fair considering other teachers make this course impossibly difficult. I would take him again if I had the opportunity later on in my other classes. |
| Anonymous Course: BSCI207 Grade Expected: B December 9, 2009, 10:39 am | He is not the most exciting teacher, but he talks in a slow pace which makes the lectures easier to understand. Concepts are explained really well. The lecture slides are organized. He does not give sample exams that are similar to the actual exams, but rather practice questions. Exams are not too difficult though. There are no clicker questions or homework in this class, but everyone is expected to review the power points and read the book to stay on track. It is extremely helpful to buy a recorder and record the lectures and listen to them later along with the power points for review. |
| PossePrincess Course: BSCI207 Grade Expected: October 21, 2009, 3:43 pm | Lectures are boring, but the material is really interesting, and he does know what he is talking about. There is a lot he does not put on the powerpoints that he just talks about, so you have to pay attention anyway. His tests were fair, and drew mostly from the lectures. Reading the book wasn't necessary, but still helpful. |
| Anonymous Course: BSCI207 Grade Expected: November 3, 2007, 2:57 pm | Lectures are soooo boring. He will put you to sleep. Uses Power Point and puts slides online after class. Exams aren't too bad if you know his lectures. |
| vdawg Course: BSCI207 Grade Expected: A October 20, 2007, 8:01 pm | Snoooozefest. Incredibly monotonous and relies tremendously on slides. Awfully boring lecturer, but on the plus side has really objective exams that are not insanely difficult. |
