Average Rating:| Anonymous Course: GEOL120 Grade Expected: A April 29, 2010, 4:58 pm | While I am going to get an A in this course, I WOULD NOT recommend it. He is a boring teacher, who lectures straight from the textbook. Everyone skipped class because of this, so he started giving more pop quizzes (he said there were pop quizzes on the first day of class) he also made it so you had to go to class to get a password for the slides. The readings are boring and pointless because the exams are all multiple choice and true-false online exams with multiple attempts expect for the final and the 3rd midterm. I know this sounds easy, but honestly I dread going to class. The discussions are also pointless, but you have to go because the discussion assignments are worth 30% of your grade. Overall, I would not recommend this class take something else for your CORE non-lab requirement. Oh yeah, and there's a field trip that's extra credit (worth 20% of a grade of a midterm), but you have to pay for it which is SO stupid. |
