Average Rating:| Anonymous Course: ANTH240 Grade Expected: A December 22, 2011, 6:46 am | Adam was a great professor. He was hilarious and engaging and made a boring subject interesting. I enjoyed every lecture. Go to lecture. The exams are based on his powerpoints which aren't put online. Read the textbook because he likes giving pop quizzes and also go to discussion because the work in discussion helps your grade and questions from some of the movies we watch show up on exams. Take this class. The best CORE I've taken so far. |
| Anonymous Course: ANTH240 Grade Expected: B May 10, 2011, 9:17 pm | Great class! 10 hours of lab work, you go down to the Archaeology lab in Woods Hall with a group of classmates and help down there, very easy to do and gives you a chance to talk to the professor and get to know him. 3 tests, non cumulative. No final. You must go to lecture, his tests are mostly from the lecture (some Qs from the book). Lectures are slides that he does not post online but are very clear. He is a great teacher with a great sense of humor, kept a class I thought would be boring really interesting! |

It's definitely an easy class to take for a CORE, and very interesting. There are some pop quizzes so make sure you read the book, also the exams are easy as long as you pay attention to the powerpoint slides. He doesn't post them online so make sure you go to class. |
| anthmajorftw Course: ANTH240 Grade Expected: B November 1, 2010, 5:19 pm | Fracchia is pretty hilarious; he can be super deadpan. I'm not a big fan of Archaeology, but his lectures weren't awful or uninteresting. Sometimes his assignments/homework just come off as busywork, but he gives enough that it helps grade if you're not the best at tests. |
