His voice sounds exactly like jeff bridges as Lebowski hahaha. He is boring but kind. The content is fascinating but he presents it boringly, so just read it at home. My TA was a little psycho. She dropped me to a B just for coming to discussion 5 min late a couple times.

Very approachable and funny guy. No need to go to class as he reads straight off his slides. Go over sample exams and slides for review (no text). Spent about 4-6 hours studying per exam to get an A. Also, if the curriculum's the same, he'll drop the lowest exam including the final. Recommend BSCI361...same deal aside from dropping an exam.

It's very hard to take notes in this class, because, as other reviewers have said, he flies through the slides. I just sat there and listened and tried not to fall asleep. He posts practice exams with the answers, which were very helpful to study from. The book is decently boring, but was useful to study from, as well. Interesting class overall, it covered a lot of different topics.

Dr. Forseth is a smart man; however, he is boring as ever. I fell asleep in his class all the time. His exams were not the easiest, studying is required. Slides are posted online, and he reads over them in class. He doesn't really go in depth about the information on the slides we just fly through the 80-100 slides in a 50 minute class. The final wasn't bad at all. It was mainly composed of the old exams as well as the most recent material that wasn't tested yet. Follow the syllabus closely because it is easy to miss assignments. Take the online quizzes very seriously. Other then that I hated this class, but it wasn't completely awful.

Very nice and intelligent teacher. I enjoyed this class, but rarely anyone went to lecture because he just reads powerpoints that he posts online. Tests are fairly easy. Most questions come from quizzes and lectures.

Good professor, very concerned about global warming and conservation. Valuable resource as he approves grants for NSF. A warning about his lectures: he has 60 to 120 slides per lecture that he reads right off of. I heard that compressing the information on the lecture slides is a great way to study.
