Reviews for Moustafa El-Bassyiouni
Average Rating:| jhaan Course: ENME361 Grade Expected: B+ December 20, 2009, 11:49 am | The course is hard, and this will be reflected from as early as the first homework assignment. Solutions are given out very sparsely, and will usually only cover 2 out of 6-12 of the homework problems on a given week. They WILL take you a long time to do, especially on the weeks which you have to do them a second time and plot on matlab. Quizzes are also rough most of the time. That said, he is very lenient about grading. Homeworks, quizzes, exams... all are graded quite fairly assuming you take the time to do the material. He will also recognize that you put in effort into this course and will give you a little boost because of it. One thing to keep in mind is that you will go through most of the semester feeling miserable about the material. By the end, though, you should be pretty relieved. |
| Anonymous Course: ENME361 Grade Expected: March 25, 2009, 5:15 pm | Dr. Al-Bassyiouni skimmed over all of the material and only stops to elaborate when someone asks a question. He is a nice guy, but he doesn't seem very interested in teaching this course. I would NOT recommend taking a class with him. |
| shaughn Course: ENME351 Grade Expected: January 26, 2009, 1:26 pm | Dr. Al-Bassyiouni (its not El-Bassyiouni something seems to have been lost in translation) was a fantastic professor. Always found time to help out with understanding of class material. willing to meet during non-office hours. strong understanding of instrumentation (that was the course). lab equipment was always broken or malfunctioning and somehow he was able to fix it on the spot. cool. - Definitely recommend him - |
| theone23 Course: ENES221 Grade Expected: November 6, 2008, 9:37 pm | Professor El-Bassyiouni is an exceptional teacher. If you are able to catch him, he very approachable and is more than willing to help students understand the material. |
