Nice guy, but the class material sucked, although I think that says more about the class itself than the professor. Does not really tell you what he wants out of a paper and he always seems to find some way to get points out of you. |
| Anonymous Course: ENGL393H Grade Expected: December 21, 2009, 7:55 am | Gave the professor a 4 for two reasons: 1) genuinely nice guy, wants what is best for the students, tries his best. Really tries to make everything on a case by case basis which could be positive (hears you out and is more lenient) or negative (maybe you dont have time to see him and talk to him so he grades you impartially slash harder) 2) he graded papers/assignments very late so over half the semester flies by without a single letter grade. a class is supposed to grade you based on the knowledge you learned in class, but if you enter the class a bad writer but fast learner, you are still at a disadvantage. did learn a lot from this course, however. |
| Anonymous Course: ENGL393 Grade Expected: A- June 17, 2009, 11:05 am | He is AWFUL at time management. We had class once a week and turned in 3 assignments and didn't receive a SINGLE grade back before the withdraw date, so for all I knew I could have earned an F at that point and wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Nitpicky on things that don't matter, especially if you've seen technical writing at an internship/work. |
