He also makes jokes that are filled with sexual innuendo, and I think he feels justified in doing this because there more girls than guys. Sucks to be a girl in his class. He assigns things sporadically and makes due dates at the most inconvenient times for giggles. He makes tangents that have nothing to do with class, and talks about his friends and wife. He takes points off of us for being unprofessional, but he gets to make sexual jokes. Get your hiring team polished, UMD. |
| Anonymous Course: ENGL393 Grade Expected: March 5, 2012, 12:59 pm | Crider is the most disrespectful professor that I have ever had. He has no lesson play and goes off on tangents about his wife and random analogies that do not make sense. He never gives an actual rubric for an assignment, instead he takes of chunks of points randomly here and there throughout the paper. He is horrible at explaining directions. He changes the room number of his class and doesn't tell anyone. Thank God I went to class that day, poor students weren't in class and he didn't send out an email about the room change, so they're gonna lose points for missing class. If you want to be harassed, disrespected, and feel like a low life, then take engl393 with him. Oh and he has 9 assignments throughout the year. One due the day you come back from spring break. Yup-- what a douche. |

He preaches on being professional but really does very little to be professional and respectful himself. He's a pretty easy grader for the most part but grades randomly, taking off points for stupid things. Don't take a class with him if you actually expect to improve anything about your professional writing. He's also a dick. |
| Anonymous Course: ENGL393 Grade Expected: A- December 16, 2010, 1:33 pm | He is overall a good teacher, he stepped in for our teacher half way through the semester (since she killed her husband). Was very easy to get along with and made English almost fun to learn with his movie clips and interesting lectures (they do tend to be boring thou). I'd recommend him just on the fact that he is an easy grader. |
