Average Rating:| Anonymous Course: CMLT270 Grade Expected: A- January 5, 2010, 5:45 pm | I took this class spring of 09 because I needed to fill my diversity requiement. He is a nice guy, but you will not learn anything in this class. Classes consisted of readings passages from books and discussing them. He was really big on punctuation and if your punctuation wasn't proper, you were not getting an A. We had to watch movies for the class in foreign languages and write papers on them, and had to find in depth meanings to the movies and books we read to discuss in class. For the final, we had to write an essay about the proper way to read and the proper way to write. All in all, though some of the readings were interesting, the class itself is a complete guessing game in terms of grades and most people will find it a massive waste of time. |
| amiragamila Course: CMLT270 Grade Expected: September 13, 2009, 8:35 pm | Easily the worst "professor" that I've ever had. Completely unreasonable and had no idea how to teach a class. If you want an A, be prepared to compliment his ideas left and right. He's graded papers as F's and C's with minimal markings or comments. Students that approached him asking how to improve their grades were told that their essays were "not A papers," but weren't given advice on how to improve for the next assignment. Classes are dry and boring. The readings don't get better. Stay far, far away from Bruce Clarkson! |
