| zhangsta Course: BIOE420 Grade Expected: A May 25, 2011, 2:58 pm | Dr. Chen is a very nice guy and is very responsive to concerns. Not the greatest lecturer because he has a very quiet voice and a very thick accent and teaches off slides. Exams were math-based, but the math was never more complicated than algebra. He'll also give pop quizzes in class from time to time, which will be bad if you don't keep up with the class. Generally, he'll quiz you on a certain imaging technology after he finishes up all the lectures pertaining to that technology so if you just look at the slides beforehand, it should be easy. |
| Anonymous Course: BIOE420 Grade Expected: A May 21, 2010, 10:56 pm | Dr. Chen is a very nice professor who cares about his students and takes a lot of feedback from students. He can be at times kind of confusing but despite his accent, he is still very intelligible, just a little bit quiet. Exams are fairly straight forward, and his reviews tell you exactly what he looks for. There are essentially two exams (midterm and non-cumulative final that is weighed as another midterm). The math is incredibly easy to do, and only requires cursory calculus. |
