She's always enthusiastic about the material. And she's patient and encouraging. Oh...and she always has a smile on her face. Quizzes were fairly straightforward and covered material that was extensively covered in class. Tests were the same. We did have some oral examinations. We signed up for those and met one-on-one in her office. As for office hours - she's very flexible and really willing to answer questions or clear up concerns. She also offers extra credit from time to time - maybe a memorized poem or speech. We spent about a half to a third of the semester working on a French comedy play, which we performed for friends and family one evening at the end of the semester. We each had to memorize about 90 lines in French, but it was pretty fun and we all had a good time. As a disclaimer - it is important to have a decent handle of French to do well. And it's important to be flexible and relearn how to pronounce things. |
