| nodice Course: ENBE456 Grade Expected: A December 17, 2007, 2:36 pm | This class covered interesting material, and it's gratifying to build something that actually works. Course grade is based mostly on the project and the exams. However, the time is awful (6-7:15ish on Thursday nights), and his lectures are all PowerPoint, which is not very engaging. He also speaks slowly, which makes it hard to stay interested. Bassen's exams are also kind of scary - they're each worth almost a quarter of your final grade, but they each have fewer than 15 questions, most of which are multiple-choice (you either know it or you don't, and sometimes it's obscure). Although he curves, it's easy to feel that 12 m/c questions (in the case of our final) doesn't accurately test what you know. |
| scroofoo Course: ENBE456 Grade Expected: A- December 3, 2007, 2:01 pm | 3 HW assignments 1 Project that can be difficult or hard depending on which you get 1 midterm and 1 final Pretty easy overall. Tests are difficult but he grades on a very steep curve. Only problem is the time- thurs nights. However, the class rarely goes over 90 mins so its not that bad. Lectures are dull but then again thats what crosswords are for! |
