Reviews for Donald B. Barker

His only downfall is he does not believe in partial credit. For our first exam we had a 5 step problem, and if you set them all up correctly but calculated the first one wrong, you get a 0. Oh, and he also didn't curve our first exam and the average was a 54. |

He does not throw curveballs on the the exams, and labs are easy to get a good grade on (i suggest Yen Chen Liu for Lab TA) However, homework is tougher and graded strictly. He did curve the class a little, and gives out very little partial credit on exams. Also, he had pop 4 quizzes, which were easy, however one of them was simply an "attendance quiz" that he gave us the lecture right after our first exam.....at 8 in the morning All in all, he is a good lecturer, but not the best professor to have if you want to skip lectures. |
| Anonymous Course: ENME392 Grade Expected: B April 6, 2010, 12:18 pm | Very monotone and boring voice... it could easily put you to sleep. He sounded ike he didnt want to teach the class but he is a very smart professor. I learned a lot form his class even though it was hard to listen to his lectures. Test and quizzes are not extremely easy unless you've done a good amount of studying. He is probably one of the better 392 teachers. Just eat a bunch or sugar or drink some kind of energy drink before going to class so you stay awake. |
