Average Rating:| Anonymous Course: FREN204 Grade Expected: A October 30, 2009, 9:38 am | She is a great teacher, Mme Baage. She also also has good office hours and is genuinely interested in seeing that you improve your comprehension of French. I would suggest taking this class over Mme Arnaud's only because I had her. However, there are two downsides to this class: the compositions that were given for the take home assignments were ridiculously graded, and even though there is a rewrite, the original grade still stands. In addition, the midterm exam was ridiculously annoying- it was covering some material not went over in class. Ironically, the final was a breeze (still study for it though- just dont worry about the literature, as it only covers grammar)Finally, the participation grade is really the bane of the class-its is very hard to get an A in it. I was present everyday in class, up front, answered frequently, but still ended up getting not what I expected in my final grades. All that said and done, she is a nice prof (not really- is a grad student who knows multiple languages and hails from Mcdaniel after arriving in the USA as an au pair) and if you put in considerable effort, you can secure a B-. Premeds should stay away. Bonnne Chance! |
