Reviews for Stuart S. Antman
Average Rating:| szymczak Course: MATH670 Grade Expected: A November 2, 2011, 2:22 pm | In my opinion, Antman is the best lecturer in the Math department. Even when he discusses a boring topic or theorem, he throws in some history and some nerdy jokes that make the class livelier. I've had for 670, and 671. His lectures often move very fast and it is hard to keep up with the notes. If you work hard in his class you will be very rewarded. He is a stickler for notation -- Major plus for me. You can ask him about any branch of mathematics and he'll likely not only answer your question, but recommend some good books for further inquiry. He is a very fair grader, and at least for the graduate course, was very lenient about accepting late homeworks (as long as he had not already handed out solutions to them) His exams are very challenging. Office hours are useful. |
