As for people who don't like her skimpy clothing...you close-minded ppl are either girls or just gay because who doesn't like cleavage???? Idk, I just like tits. |
| Anonymous Course: BMGT380 Grade Expected: A August 9, 2011, 1:03 pm | This class is reading intensive, but that's pretty much it. I didn't learn anything from Anenson by going to class; her lectures and ppts are pretty crappy. Her ppts are just headings from the book without any explanation- but she talks about a certain heading for only a minute before moving on, and she speaks so fast so that I couldn't take adequate notes on any topic. That being said, this class really wasn't that much work. There are a couple group case moots, but they're easy and she doesn't grade them; they become part of our participation grade. Exams really weren't that bad, from what I've heard about other 380 teachers. I would take Anenson again, even if her choice of clothing was sometimes rather skimpy/inappropriate/annoying/distracting. |

Anenson is a great lecturer who goes out of her way to give you interesting examples to illustrate concepts. She also tries to engage her students by holding mock arbitrations. Course content is not difficult, but it does get somewhat complicated as you dive into later topics such as contract law. If you keep up, you will be fine. Spring 2011 grades were based on participation (20% - basically a guaranteed 20/20 if you participate in the group simulations adequately), two midterms (each 25%), and a non-cumulative final (30%). Exams cover the basics of the material and a few tricky rules that she is sure to go over in class. Take this course with Anenson. If you are a good citizen student (aka someone who pays attention and/or reads the book and/or studies well), you will be fine, and an A will not be extraordinarily difficult to get. |
| Anonymous Course: BMGT380 Grade Expected: B+ May 11, 2011, 8:06 pm | Anenson is truly a great teacher. She jokes with the class and has a lot of fun while still getting the information across to the students. You should attend class regularly because of the cases discussed and she does a pretty great job of explaining the concepts in simple terms. Her exams are relatively easy if you read over the powerpoints and follow along with those sections in the book, which is not difficult even if you hate reading, which I do. Overall I think everyone should try to take Anenson for Business Law, you learn everything you need to with a minimal amount of effort or work. |
| Anonymous Course: BMGT380 Grade Expected: A April 6, 2011, 9:57 pm | I LOVE this class!!! Professor Anenson has so much real-life experience that she makes the class engaging and really shows how the textbook topics apply to actual circumstances. This is probably my favorite class so far in college (after 92 credits) - it is fascinating and she makes it fun and interesting. I wish she was teaching other courses because I am sad to see this semester coming to a close... |
| Anonymous Course: BMGT380 Grade Expected: A April 5, 2011, 9:41 pm | Anenson is awesome. shes a really good teacher and has a kind of goofy, cute personality. she tells really interesting stories about her previous cases. going to class is really important because she thoroughly goes over everything in the ppts (the ppts are just outlines). all you need to do for the exam is take good notes and read the text book. theres also a mock trial and case brief where you have to answer her ?s and act like a lawyer. this can be a little intimidating but a good experience. from what ive heard, much easier than mcClenahan. she usually lets you out of class a few mins early too :) |
| Anonymous Course: BMGT380 Grade Expected: B+ May 11, 2010, 10:46 am | She's a pretty good teacher. Everything is done on ppt and then posted online. im not sure if i ever needed to go to class, but i always did. If you can manage a C test average, (which is easy), and do well on your mock trial and case brief, (which is also easy), you'll get a B for the class. Buy the book, study hard, you'll probably get an A. She's also very nice and I would definitely recommend her. There is not a lot of work involved for this class. |
| Anonymous Course: BMGT380 Grade Expected: May 15, 2009, 11:28 pm | You'll be surprised the first day you walk into class. I did not expect a rather attractive, young-ish woman to be teaching this course. She makes lectures pretty funny with stories about her career as a lawyer. She uses PowerPoints during lecture that are all online. The grades are based on 3 exams (25% each), and participation is the other 25%, comprised of a case brief in class, and participating in either a mock appeal or trial. The textbook is definitely necessary for exams, and really helps to understand some of the more complicated topics (like contract law). The multiple choice exams weren't really all that hard. Good professor, easier on the eyes than some old guy like McClenahan. |
