Prerequisite: Biomechanics/kinematics, basic knowledge of physics. Exploration of biomechanical analogs of robot design in applications such as humanoid robots, exoskeletons, and prosthetics. Topics covered include artificial muscles as prime movers, realization of complex joints, articulation of limbs, inverse dynamics, and whole body humanoid control. Principles will be demonstrated through both case studies and laboratory sessions. | |
